MOKIE! (Isn't she cute?)
Since Chad is gone all the time and I'm spending a lot of time home alone, we decided that I needed a friend to keep me company. =) It took some persuading because Chad grew up close to a house where there were lots of cats that weren't very well-behaved. So after months of talking about it and me convincing him that cats are actually pretty low-key and lots of fun, we decided to adopt. We adopted Mokie (Moh-key) at the PetSmart adoption center. She had just barely come in from the local Spay and Neuter Clinic about 30 minutes before we arrived at PetSmart. We weren't planning on coming home with a kitty, but she was just exactly what we were looking for. We didn't want a baby kitten because they take a lot more time to train and you have to constantly be watching them to make sure they're not causing trouble. So, when we saw Mokie, we decided we couldn't pass her up.

cute! How fun to have a pet! My family has a horse named that, actually, but we speall it Moqui. It's an Indian word. Anyway, that's so fun!
Glad you have a companion now when hubby is away.
We are so glad that things are going well and that you have someone to keep you company while Chad is hard at work. We hope that you don't forget about us when you decide to move back here.

Congrats on the kitten! It was the best decision we ever made :) And she is GORGEOUS, so good choice!
