10 Months - Reid (A month late)

10/6/2013

Reidy Boy -

This is your new nickname, per your sister. It’s so fun to hear her call you this.

How are you ten months already? You’re so much fun and a total charmer. Here’s a little peak at what has been happening in the last month:

You can crawl all the way up the stairs. Addi thinks this is hilarious. You’ll start crawling toward the stairs and Addi will just crack up, telling me that you’re going up the stairs. This makes you smile to see her so worked up. We walk over to redirect you and you start crawling as fast as you can up the stairs. I’m a little worried that you’re going to be a climber...

You are saying several sounds now. We frequently hear mama, dada, and baba. I love hearing you experiment with new sounds.

You are starting to wave and clap. You also do this adorable thing when you want to eat. You smack your lips together super loud until you get whatever it is you see. We bought frosty’s one night and your sister got to eat hers on our way home. You watched her for a few minutes and then started smacking your lips until we gave you some.

You are a cuddle monkey! We love this! You like to snuggle after naptime and when you wake up in the morning. You also get super cuddly when you see your soft owl blanket. All we have to do is spread that out and you go over and lay down on it.

You have this nervous little habit of scratching when you’re upset. You either scratch the inside of your ears, the back of your neck, or your belly. If you’re being held, you reach and scratch the person's arm that's holding you. As long as your nails are trimmed it isn’t  that big of a deal, but it always makes me sad to see little scabs from scratching.

You are improving in the sleeping department, very slowly. You are napping like a champ. 9:30 and 1:30 for about 1 1/2-2 hours. At night you are mostly making it to 4-5 in the morning, waking up, eating, and going back to sleep until 7:30. Bless you, son.

Love you, buddy boo!
